Lesson 1 – Conversion-focused Website
Lesson 1
Is Your Website Up-to-date or Outdated?
It is a revolutionary invention by Sir Tim Berners-Lee in 1989. The creation of the world wide web has made a tremendous impact on human history.

Commercialisation of webpage did not happen until 1995 when more businesses started to look into online business. Amazon.com and e-bay are the two examples of major online businesses started since then. Websites of these early days (called Web 1.0) were webpages connected to hyperlinks with static contents. In other words, they are company or product information put together and published online. As technology becomes more advanced, Web 2.0 started sometime in 2004. Social networking web played a pivotal role since then. The website evolution saw the technical ability to develop interactive web contents. Businesses started to realise a sales conversion-focused website would become a useful business tool to generate new business leads, aside from the traditional lead generation mechanism.

What is a Conversion-focused Website?
It simply means a website that generates measurable commercial and financial value to your business. It could be a product purchase, new business lead, new subscriber interested in your newsletter, webinar, courses, blog access, or reach out to contact you for business. In other words, a conversion-focused website is a digital marketing tool you create to generate new revenue for your business.
